  • Compliance with legal obligations, such as tax, accounting, consumer-protection, and lawful disclosure requirements.
  • Establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.

Targeted Advertising and Your Privacy Choices

We do not sell personal information in exchange for money.

However, certain disclosures of device, usage, or advertising information to advertising partners may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for “targeted advertising” under some U.S. state privacy laws, even when no money is exchanged.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of these activities through our Your Privacy Choices page.

Where required, we also recognize the Global Privacy Control preference signal as an opt-out request for the browser and device sending the signal. If the signal can be associated with your Shopify customer account, the opt-out may also be applied to that account.

Other browser-based “Do Not Track” signals may not be recognized because there is no uniform industry standard governing those signals.

Information submitted through the Services may be transmitted to Shopify and to service providers located in countries other than the country in which you live.

For certain Shopify features, Shopify may process personal information for its own purposes and may be responsible for responding to requests concerning that processing.

You can learn more by reviewing the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal .

The Services may contain links to websites, platforms, or services operated by third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy, security, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete the information.

We do not knowingly sell or share, as those terms are defined by applicable privacy laws, the personal information of individuals under 16.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.

Please do not send sensitive or confidential information through unsecured communication channels.

  • Maintain customer accounts
  • Provide customer support
  • Comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations
  • Resolve disputes

Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, the nature of our relationship with you, applicable legal requirements, and whether the information is needed for a legal claim or investigation.

When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable law and technical limitations.

To exercise a privacy right, contact us using the details below or use the privacy controls provided through the Services.

We may need to verify your identity before processing a request. Where permitted by law, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf, but we may require evidence of authorization and direct verification from you.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
